Privacy

Your videos stay on your PC.

ClipSweep processes footage locally. This page separates that promise from the limited network requests used for updates, payment, and paid-license validation.

What ClipSweep keeps local

ClipSweep does not upload video contents, filenames, folder locations, or sorting history. The app stores settings, decision history, trial progress, lifetime statistics, and Broomies on that Windows computer under %APPDATA%\ClipTriage\.

Sorted videos remain in the clip library or destination folders you choose. Files sent with D go to the Windows Recycle Bin.

License activation and validation

To activate and periodically validate Full Edition, ClipSweep connects to Lemon Squeezy’s public License API over HTTPS. It sends the license key, a randomly generated installation identifier, the app version, and the license instance data needed to validate that device.

ClipSweep checks a saved license when it starts and about once per hour while open. After a successful check, the app can continue through a temporary service or internet outage for up to 14 days.

The saved license record is protected with Windows per-user encryption in packaged builds. Like any locally distributed software, this is a deterrent—not a promise of unbreakable DRM.

Update check

ClipSweep checks its public GitHub Releases feed for a newer version number. The app reads the current release tag; it does not attach video or sorting data to that request.

Payments and order records

Lemon Squeezy acts as merchant of record for ClipSweep purchases. It processes payment, tax, purchaser email, order, license, and activation information under its own privacy practices. ClipSweep and RGB Ads do not receive or store your full payment-card number.

Order, customer, license, and activation records may be used to deliver the key, provide support, enforce the purchased device limit, process refunds or disputes, and meet accounting or tax obligations.

Ordinary connection data

Lemon Squeezy, GitHub, the website host, and other destination services receive ordinary request information such as IP address, timestamp, and user-agent when your browser or ClipSweep connects to them.

This website does not include a ClipSweep account system or support form. Email links open your own mail client. No product analytics script is included in the current site build.

Your choices

  • Use the Free Trial without activating a paid license.
  • Deactivate a paid device from the Full Edition license screen.
  • Clear decision history from ClipSweep settings; this does not move or delete video files.
  • Contact support about an order or device slot.
